These photographs were taken in 2014 for the University of Brasilia (UnB) and for the Archaeological and Historical Museum of the Planalto Central. In 2019, the images were processed by DStrech as part of a chair from the Master of Prehistoric Archeology and Rock Art in Portugal (Instituto Politécnico de Tomar).

The Lapa da Pedra archeological site, also known as Toca da Onça, is a rock shelter located in the central-western region of Brazil. Characterized by the occurrence of several panels of rock painting, both on the ceiling and on its walls, the paintings in this shelter are essentially monochromatic with a predominance of red pigment. There are still, to a lesser extent, some figures painted in black and others painted in a third shade, possibly made by mixing these two colors.

The vast majority of figures are geometric representations, especially lines, points, circles and abstract shapes that are associated in the composition of a more complex iconography. Some panels were painted on smooth surfaces, while others were made on uneven surfaces taking advantage of the rock's own recesses for the symbolic materialization of the message.
